Who are BrandedRelay? I applied to a brand.
You did, and that brand is still the one deciding. BrandedRelay is the company that runs their creator program — we handle the applications, work out which returns are near you, send the offers and arrange the delivery. The brand chooses who joins and what they want made.
You have one BrandedRelay profile and it works for every brand you ever apply to, which is why the account is ours rather than theirs. Brands running on BrandedRelay right now: Neighbor, Wayfarer.
Why did I get an email from you?
Because you applied to one of those brands. The first one says your profile is open and gives you a link into it. After that we only email you when something opens up near you, or when a brand makes a decision.
If you didn’t apply to anything, ignore it — nothing happens until a link is opened, and you can tell us at hello@brandedrelay.com.
Does it cost anything?
No. The piece is free and it’s delivered to you. Some brands ask for a refundable deposit when you accept an offer, which comes back in full once your content is accepted — it exists so that a piece promised to you isn’t sitting in a warehouse while someone changes their mind. If a brand asks for one, the amount is on the offer before you accept anything.
What do I have to do in return?
Post honestly about it. Each offer says exactly what’s asked for and by when, and you see that before you accept. We never write your captions, never ask for a script, and never ask you to pretend you bought it — disclosure is required, not optional.
How do offers work?
When a piece comes back to a brand near you, we email the creators closest to it first, widening out while it stays unclaimed. First to accept gets it. If nobody takes it, it carries on as it would have — back through returns, or back into stock.
I applied and haven’t heard anything.
Two things have to happen. We check every new creator before opening their profile, and then the brand decides separately whether to take you into their program. Your profile shows where each brand you’ve applied to has got to.
A brand may also be full, or not yet running in your area. That isn’t a judgment about your work, and it doesn’t affect any other brand.
Can I work with more than one brand?
Yes. One profile, as many brands as take you on, and you can pause any one of them without leaving the others.
How do I stop hearing from you?
Pause a brand from your profile and they stop sending you offers. To leave altogether, email hello@brandedrelay.com and we’ll delete your account and what we hold about you.
